In his world famous poem, ‘Where the mind is without fear’, Shri Rabindranath Tagore talks about his dream for a new progressive India. An India where ‘The clear stream of reason has not lost its way in the dreary desert of dead habit’; An India where ‘Knowledge is free’ and ‘The world is not broken up into fragments by narrow, domestic walls.’; An India that can honestly stand as a ‘Heaven of freedom’. 71 years have passed since we received independence and no Government since then has even come close to taking a step towards creating an India that could hold true to the aspects of Tagore’s ideal India. Now the time has come to place this responsibility in the hands of the future of our country. During these three days you are tasked with taking up this role of a leader and trying to, within the purview of your party's policy, bring about a change 71 years late. It’s going to be a tough ride but for those who are up for it we promise you that the journey will be unforgettable.
